blood flow restriction therapy

Blood flow restriction (BFR) is a well studied rehabilitation modality that may help with injury recovery time, reduce muscle loss during recovery, enhance muscle endurance and bone density.

BFR involves the use of arm or leg cuffs that will measure and in a controlled manner, occlude blood flow while performing an exercise protocol. This allows the body to have metabolic stimulation to the tissues without excessively loading the muscles when you are rehabilitating from injury.

During the assessment, Dr. Ashley will determine if you are a safe candidate to receive BFR therapy, and if it would be beneficial to your goals.
